And now my case:
I ordered and paid for brand new in sealed box LG G7 G710EM on e-bay in the UK But model which arrived is LG-G710EAW. On the small label on the box is S/N 404KPHG0758362, S/W V10c, The box was originally closed – sealed.
But the phone does not show any Serial Number inside the system. The field S/N is empty.
My IMEI are 3569000902850 & 356900090252860.
LG in the UK has confirmed that the phone I have is a test version, e.g. for journalists. I think it's a pre-production prototype or series. Interestingly, this is the European version, because the set included a European charger, and in the menu, there are European languages, but not all. Interestingly, my phone supports the LTE B20 band which the typical G710EAW model does not support. So I have a rare version of the phone because I have a European G7 + 6/128 GB dual sim. But I'm not entirely happy because:
1. No update to Android 9
2. Gpay does not work. During configuration, a message appears that is root. So I can't pay by phone, although NFC works. The system software is original and I didn't change it.
LG UK refused to help even for a fee, so I'm looking for help here.
Can anyone advise what to install to make Gpay work, what software version? It's best to have Android 9.
