I got a LG LM-V405EBW, with IME number 353626-10-061647-8 & 353626-10-061648-6. install the firmware version V405EBW30a_00_OPEN_HK_DS_OP_0908.kdz. the device worked fine for 3 months, and then it lost the sim signal. It does not work to receive or call, I have tried many configurations and different telephone companies and it does not work.     Okay, so I went to use the Australian Firmware and it said error, HK verion cross over or something. I downloaded the HK (Hong Kong) version and it uploaded fine, Android 10 yay.
    
    Now I have an issue the my Wifi continuously drops out.
    
    So 2 Questions.
    
    1) can I overwrite the HK Firmware with the AU firmware or must I stick with the HK version?
    2) any ideas with the Wifi issue?

      Update:
      
      I put the AU version on and it worked fine, just when starting mob from off position it said no carrier found but then worked fine. I went back to HK version as it made no difference.
      
      Wi-fi issue is weird. I can have 1xLG V40, 1x G6 and 2 G7s, laptop etc etc, as soon as i start a second V40, the 2 V40s constantly fight and kick each other off the wifi so only one is connected any given time, so every 10 - 20 seconds you lose connectivity.???

  I have upgraded my phone with every firmware of the Open_EU since January 2020 without any problem. Last time I upgraded to Android 10 in August. It was also successful but then check nt-code: 222201: ff started to appear everytime I turned on the phone. It's annoying, but not a big problem since the phone works perfect. However I tried to upgrade to Android 10 v405ebw30c, recently and now LGUP can't upgrade, it says can't cross-DL, with a strange message judypn_lao_eea ->judypn_lao_com. Could the NT-code be the cause of this? I also tried to enter the hidden menu, *#546368#*405# and I can see the nt code, but I can't change it. Nothing happens. Will I have to root my phone to make this work? or are there other options?

    Same problem here. Can not also use refurbish option. Looks like we are stuck on current firmware. Only difference is that I am stuck on 30c (just recently ugraded to it directly from Pie). Any solution?

  After installing it (refurbish mode) with LG UP I receive the following error message by switching on the phone: current version is not available for user can't find matched carrier check nt-code: 222201: ff
  
  I installed previous firmwares with LG UP from that site without the any problem (like V405EBW20g_00_OPEN_EU_DS_OP_0520.kdz).
  
  Do you have any idea what does the error message mean, how can I solve it?

  In INDIA now v405ebw is running this firmware - V405EBW20d_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_OP_0306.kdz. When checking update centre option in mobile it is showing the mobile is using the lastest firmware, but when connect with lg bridge it is showing firmware update is available and it is 20f version... why this is happening? now i am downloading this version - V405EBW20f_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_OP_0729.     My lg v40thinq 405 ebw is Indian model and i cross flashed other models firmware and even 409n firmwere also. Google for a patched lgup version and it is working fine.

  there is one patched LGUP version that can easily flash any version or any region firmware on LG V40 thinq. have successfully checked all other region firmware on lg v405ebw model. lg 409 model firmware also flashed successfully on lg 405 model. do not know this website allows to post patched software link here. so if anybody want this link .... give your mail id or whatsapp number. my whatsapp number +917012462735

  I was using this version (V405EBW20a_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_OP_0715.kdz) Indian model firmware for my mobile. It was not getting any latest updations, but European model gets more security updations. So i downloaded this version (European model) V405EBW20e_00_OPEN_EU_DS_OP_1231.kdz firmware and flashed with LGUP. The only one problem was that VOLTE function was not working for JIO sim.     Can you please mention how did you activate VoLTE using service menu? Is VoLTE stable? Does this firmware have VoWiFi? Also, which region did the firmware you flashed belong to, is it GBR? I'm having issues with network using IND firmware!

      dear friend, use the code *#546368#*405# here 405 is your model number. ok... then you will see menu.. click on the last one named field test, then again on the last one named Universal enabler then you will see activation option for both sim.... volte, vofi, vifi.... give tick on all, then restart, now you can enjoy volte.... if any problem contact whatsapp number +917012462735

        I tried what do had mentioned and it was showing an error not enabled/disabled, so I was not able to proceed further with activation. I had to revert to latest IND firmware which has volte and vowifi. I hope android 10 resolves my network problems.

          Hallow dear friend which region firmware you used? this code will not work in Verizon models... I tried AUS, GBR, DEC, HKG, IND.... and every thing was 100 percent success... Even i could use cross flash files with patched lgup, unfortunately i can not correctly get the lgup files i used... any way with lgup 1.16 you can flash V405EBW20a_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_OP_0715.kdz --- hallow contact - whatsapp number +917012462735.             Are you trying to use Jio sim, put the sim inside and check that you are connected to network, If network is connected then to get VOLTE function use the above code, it will work...

  Indian Region firmware - V405EBW20a_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_OP_0715.kdz - Only this firmware have Volte option. I tried Australlia, Hongkong and some other region softwares.. Nothing supported VOLTE function. Can i activate VOLTE in other region firmware.

    Why you need Oreo ? simply flash other region (Europe or Australlia) latest pie versions... It is simply super... and it have inbuilt screen recorder function. Flash with LGUP 1.14 patched version, download link -https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SOhoR2hn9PKiIvUUeiDVeX-8PfuMx1qq/view. Download this dll - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1omqC8sZQ3CRFu7AXEOVyfKW6FtK76fBh/view, then replace the orginal dll with this one. Now simply flash v40 any version any region firmware.
